Will this add value to my home?
Absolutely! By adding a conforming bedroom to your home you should be gaining tens of thousands of value to your house. Not to mention the safety and peace of mind knowing your loved ones are safe and have a usable emergency exit! An added bonus is great sunlight to really transform your space.
Will there be a big mess?
Our goal here is to make a dirty job as clean as we can. We lay a plastic barrier on the floor to keep as much mess off your floor as possible. We do all our cutting from outside with a specialized saw to keep out fumes, dust, slurry, water, and mud. We also put up a barrier inside to catch anythings else. This results in making what could be a very dirty job as clean as possible.
What is the expected time of completion?
Installing an egress window is no small job, however, we strive our best to make as quick work of it as possible for the convenience of our customers. A standard install should take one day. There are many variables that can change how long it will take, so feel free to reach out and ask what your unique application will require.
Do I need to cover my new egress well?
In short, yes. Having a cover can be the difference between having a flooded basement or not. We make sure our windows are water tight but that doesn't mean they were made to be an aquarium. Our advice is always install a cover even if you don't buy it from us. When buying a cover, be aware, not all covers are created equal. Typically you get what you pay for with covers.
What size will the window and well be?
We offer an array of sizes for both our windows and wells. But, our most common base package window measures 48" tall and 30" wide. Our base package well measures 49" wide by 36" projection by 60” tall.
